Homeless Shelter Self Assessment

Program Self Assessment Tool for Homeless Shelters

SH/HIP has developed a program self-assessment tool for homeless service providers.

We encourage staff in homeless shelters to use this tool to:

  • Review what is in place and what is not
  • List other efforts that can be made to strengthen your existing program.

The self-assessment is like an inventory of activities that homeless services can undertake to integrate HIV/AIDS services. Providers complete it like a checklist. Once completed, the checklist gives providers an opportunity to recognize those activities they have already put into place, and identify other activities they can consider implementing.

The tool will be available on this website shortly. In the meantime, if you would like to have one, please e-mail your request to SHHIP@healthimperatives.org and we'll send one to you.
