Penelope’s Place, formerly Womansplace Crisis Center, is a residential program for individuals and families fleeing life-threatening situation as a result of domestic and/or sexual violence. Located in a newly renovated 1890’s home in a confidential location in the greater Brockton area, Penelope's Place is complete with an updated kitchen, bathrooms, a handicapped accessible bath and a private yard for the young residents to play. Penelope’s Place offers housing for up to five families at a time.

Trained professionals help residents of Penelope’s Place to begin to heal from their trauma and to start planning for a life free from violence. Each resident is assigned a primary counselor/advocate. Counselor/advocates work with residents to develop a specific plan to ensure access to support services needed and to assist residents in acquiring skills to facilitate a transition to more independent living. Our work is grounded in a strength-based approach.
