Description:  Harm Reduction is a public health approach that helps people identify and reduce the harm in their life caused by substance and/or alcohol use. This training is designed to reinforce participant’s knowledge about harm reduction principles and identify strategies that will support incorporating those principles into their work. The training reviews the challenges around practicing harm reduction. It identifies a clear set of harm reduction skills that can be adapted into various settings. Participants have an opportunity to practice these skills and consider personalized harm reduction action planning as they identify how their individual practice will change. The training offers specialized tools that further help integrate harm reduction into their work.

Please Note:  the May 21, 2012 training of  "Harm Reduction in Practice" is FULL. We have scheduled another date for this training on Monday, June 4, 2012. By registering on/after January 31, 2012  for the May 21, 2012 training, you will automatically be placed in the June 4th training.
