with technical support available 

Online course with information on:

  • Sexual orientation and gender identity development and expression in adolescents, 
  • Skills for providing one-on-one support for GLBTQ youth, 
  • Strategies for supporting families when a young person comes out,
  • Approaches for creating a safe, supportive environment for GLBTQ young people. 
This course takes about 4 hours to complete and 4 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) or contact hours are available for social workers, nurses, and educators. More information.

GLBTQ Youth 101 & 202: Reducing Risk, Supporting Resiliency and Skills for Support

  • Risks that GLBTQ youth face, 
  • Strategies for recognizing their resiliency,
  • Identity development
  • Skills for working one-on-one with youth, as well as working with their families,
  • Approaches for creating a safe, supportive environment for GLBTQ young people.

Could your Massachusetts youth-serving agency or school use GLBTQ cultural competency training but there's no room in your budget? Apply to be on our waiting list for free training and technical assistance. Through contracts and grants, we are sometimes able to provide free trainings. We select sites for free training based on need and location - we try to provide trainings across the state. Download our application.

BrAGLY meets every Wednesday night 6:30-8 pm at 942 West Chestnut St. in Brockton, MA
Open to GLBTQA youth ages 14-21.
Free and confidential HIV, Gonnorhea, and Chlamydia testing available on the first Wednesday of each month.
