Health Care provides comprehensive family planning services in a number of sites throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. Services are provided to individuals of all ages. While parental permission is not required to receive services, younger clients are encouraged to involve their parent(s) or guardian(s) in their reproductive health care decision-making.
Family Planning programs provide an array of services including gynecological exams, cancer screening, pregnancy testing and options counseling, methods of birth control, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), HIV education and counseling, and STD education, screening, treatment and referral, infertility information and referral. Most sites provide free and anonymous HIV testing and counseling. Most services require an appointment. Please click on the link for the site nearest to you for specific information and hours.
Cost is based on a sliding fee scale according to family size and income. Medicaid/MassHealth, BMC Boston Health Net, Network Health, Tufts, and Children's Medical Insurances are accepted. Health Care's family planning program is supported by Federal and state funds, patient fees, and donations. No one is denied services because of inability to pay.
