Volunteer Program

Womansplace Crisis Center, a comprehensive program providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, is always seeking volunteers for all aspects of our program. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Answering the crisis hotline
  • Working at the battered women's shelter
  • Providing court advocacy
  • Providing hospital advocacy
  • Childcare
  • Education and outreach support
  • Survivor Speakers Bureau


The volunteer training is offered twice a year, is free of charge, and includes the basics of sexual assault and domestic violence, counseling skills, trauma and its effects, the fundamentals of providing advocacy, and more.
