Womansplace Crisis Center offers a variety of services to survivors of sexual
assault. These services include group and individual counseling and medical
and legal advocacy. All services are free of charge and confidential. Hotline
services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
WHAT
DOES THE TERM "SEXUAL ASSAULT" MEAN?
Sexual assault is a broader term that includes rape and other crimes such
as molestation, flashing, voyeurism, etc.
WHAT IS RAPE?
Rape is the penetration of a bodily orifice (oral, anal, or vaginal) with
a body part (e.g. penis, finger, tongue) or an object through threat or
force and without consent.
