What We Weave is an interactive performance piece that addresses sexual and gender violence. The second performance was held in conjunction with the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton on April 27, 2011. The project involved a series of workshops with survivors, led by Creator and Expressive Art Therapist, Janet Novotny. Participants learned how to share their survivor stories through various modalities. Together the group weaved their stories into a performance piece, which was performed at the Fuller Craft Museum.
During the performance audience members were e asked to respond to what they saw and heard by creating their own art, thus becoming a part of the show and a part of the survivors’ healing story. Stay tuned for What We Weave 2012.
