What does AHEC of Southeastern
Massachusetts do?
Develops and Implements Training
Through our David H. Mulligan Center
for Health Promotion, we:
- Conduct professional development training
for health and human service professionals
throughout the year;
- Create and facilitate customized trainings
on health-related topics that fit the specific
needs of an organization;
- Implement certified Medical Interpreter
Training courses; and
- Partner with community-based agencies to
coordinate and implement conferences.
Provides Support and Resources
Through our affiliation with HCSM,
collaboration with other community based organizations, and support from our statewide office, we:
- Provide access to informational resources
through HCSM’s Resource Library, our
electronic newsletter, and website;
- Partner with organizations to facilitate
targeted research studies on topics that
are influencing a community’s access to,
or use of health resources; and
- Sponsor medical student internships in
underserved communities.
