| Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD) Awareness Workshops | ||

The ATOD Awareness Workshop, led by a Comprehensive Health Education Specialist (CHES), utilizes fact-based information to challenge common myths about substance use. Several interactive activities provide participants with the facts about alcohol and other drugs, their use and affects on the human body. This one-day workshop can range between one to three hours and may be tailored to meet the unique needs of its participants.
Goal: The goal of this workshop is to increase participant awareness of the facts relating to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in order for them to make more informed decisions about substance use.
Objectives: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: • Describe the Social Norms Theory and how it relates to substance use among peers • Identify common myths and facts about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
